What does ABC Africa do?
Simply encourage those who have more than they need to give to those who need it the most
ABC Africa wants to make a difference to as many orphaned and vulnerable children as we can by simply and directly providing food, medication and education to orphaned and vulnerable children in Sub Saharan Africa.
How does ABC Africa do it?
ABC Africa supports communities and grass roots projects to feed, educate and provide health care for their children by:
providing nutritious food through school feeding projects, school porridge clubs and food by prescription programmes
providing medication and health prevention supplies
providing school supplies, transport and tuition
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
The goals of ABC Africa are based primarily on Articles 6, 24 and 28
Article 6 (Survival and development): Children have the right to live. Governments should ensure that children survive and develop healthily.
Article 24 (Health and health services): Children have the right to good quality health care, to safe drinking water, nutritious food, a clean and safe environment, and information to help them stay healthy. Rich countries should help poorer countries achieve this.
Article 28: (Right to education): All children have the right to a primary education, which should be free. Wealthy countries should help poorer countries achieve this right.
