The \u2018Bangladesh\u2019 slums are situated on the outskirts of Mombasa and one of the largest informal settlements with a population of about 55,000.\u00a0 There are very few government services, lack of clean drinking water, lack of sanitation, overcrowding and congested living situations, poor ventilation, single parent families, and extreme\u00a0poverty<\/p>\n
Childhood malnutrition is a major health problem. Poor sanitation andpoor diet causes diarrhoea which further exacerbates any health condition.<\/p>\n
